"A SECOND CHANCE"

Wasn't it just yesterday that I held you in my arm?
Ten perfect fingers, ten perfect toes,
And all that baby charm.

Wasn't it just yesterday that you took your very first step?
My hand holding on to your hand,
TO guide my step-by-step.

Wasn't it just yesterday that your first words were spoken
My sweet baby was growing up,
A mother's pride unspoken.

Wasn't it just yesterday where at your wedding we danced?
A husband and wife, soon a mom and a dad,
Now I have a second chance.

To relive my yesterdays, a Grandson to hold in my arms.
Ten perfect fingers,ten perfect toes,
And all his baby charms.

I'll cherish all his yesterdays, I'll take pleasure in today,
I'll shower him with hugs and kisses,
Through all his growing days.

Tanya SilvaVery nice. I have 2 grandchildren,James 5. and Bethany 6 mths. They do indeed grow up very quickly. Time certainly goes very fast. Bethany's a feathery soft little peach We have to put everything out of her reach James is a real little boy and he greets Me with a hello, and Nana where are my sweets!
