THANKS FOR YOUR HELPING HAND
Many years have passed since we had decent raindrops. Now the rains are coming we can start to sow our crops. The ground is parched and so very dry.It breaks our hearts, makes us cry.We have nothing left on the ground. Not a blade of grass, not even a pound. Our stock are sick and dying in front our eyes.As we look to those rainy clouds in the skies. This is our life, our life that we chose. If it does not rain soon, the banks will foreclose.Digging trenches to bury our stock. Its in those trenches they have to rot.We are proud people but we need a helping hand.Believe me mate its hard to walk away from your land.We called on the government to help us out.To get the help we needed we had to scream and shout. Now the rains are here we have no doubt. This maybe the end of our longest drought. How long this rain stays for we do not know.It doesnt matter mate, while its here our rivers do flow. This is our life in the land down under. As we stand here together, listening to that thunder. The clouds do open up and the rivers do flow.Lets get moving boys we've got crops to sow.Through my eyes i am happy to see.To see my stock jumping with glee.As the raindrops fall on our land. All i can say is thanks for your helping hand.
