Little Angel
Aching memories of days gone byUnanswered questions, why, oh why?Tiny little heartbeat, I hear you beating insideSorrow filled eyes, you'll never see me cryUnspoken realities, I'm afraid to ask whyLocked away truths , instead, less painful liesProtected from the reasons of your tender painReliving those days, again and againIndolent tears that drip slowly into the pool of miseryContemplative questions, of a pain that follows meHaunted by the memories and elation I once hadLittle angel do you follow me? Lift me up when I’m sadAn aching anguish of certain times of the yearAs I think of what life might’ve been, if you were hereThis cold unmistaken reality, tears me in twoLittle angel I miss you, though I never knew you
