IN CHURCH ON SUNDAY
You weren't in church on Sunday when Chief dedicated his tenth car-Big black shining wonder on wheels-In thanksgiving he threwA big bundle for the new cathedralYou know, the one in the skyHe was ordained Elder-Chief Elder! And everyone sang and clapped and Danced in thanksgiving...God is good. You weren't in church on Sunday whenBrother-in-the-lord whispered to me-during sermon- he had no breakfastIn his every Sunday tear and patchHe cringed into the pew,he hidWhen duty rooster was calledHe had nothing to dedicate, No testimonies.I lent himHis bus fare;no doubt he saved itAnd hiked home barefooted...God is good.
