FUNNEL OF EVIL

Smoke blue clouds decline
as ash from doomed sinners
are banished from heaven
They sift and smolder
smothering the earth
Winds sing in howling voice,
the holocaust of choices made,
cursing the Lord for their sins

Victims on earth
feel their leaded toes
as they frost burn the world
with cold remorse
killing spirits with dread
So dark their souls
evil spins in ears
all growth stops
the world subsides
Buds, birds, humans
cling to their caves
under earths warm flesh
mud, clay or mortar,
as they pass

We pray for light
but the cleansing continues
until the last seepage
of sewer spills to hell
and life is renewed
The funnel of evil
has gone to its abyss
we again live in the light
of another day
to choose our own destiny

Marcia SchechingerThanks Ros! your comments are always lovely. Now that I have scared everyone from sin, I do hope everybody lives and explores just looks at a stormy day differently because of my verse. The hearts here on voices will never be in the ash of clouds, they are too lovely. :)USA1/14/2009 8:11:53 AM
