Thank you this day

Thank you this day God
This day for another day
You have not brought cancer our way.

No ailing disease to take us away
You've granted us a wish of glory today.

Now if I was to ask for a simple favor
Wrapped up in a package
decoraded in a favorite flavor
Singing as the far away angels.

It would be to see each day's sunrise
With a new and lasting gift of glorious surprise.

That each new day be filled with love,
happiness and yes,again surprise.

Extinquish boardom and dread from amidst
to relinquish familiarity as it
casts a dark cloud of sudden doom as it
deminishes.

Boardom-----takes away
the tranquility of
A dreadufull task to avoid sanity
It deminishes the lonliness
Repells something as simple as a hug or kiss
Something anyone would miss.

Some drift through life
with out a clue moment to moment
in different
drifting in opposite
directions they fly.

Not knowing your grace or mercy
Of the true gift of life
that two should lovingly embrace.
as years with a loving husband or wife

Many wollow in a life of strife.
Mimiced by just a disrespectful phrase
upon the lips burning a heart withdrawn
yet sets fire with lonliness.

My elder ways
have cast wisdom upon my later days
As all that have experienced
the same before me.

As I am of those before me
those after me
and those to be forever with me.

I cast my transgresions to you Lord
as a stone skipped across a lake as I
lay foot upon the head of a snake.

Thank you lord that I may be thankful and
express true embrace.
My gratitude for that you give willingly
Another glorious day lovingly.
