Canada 4/12/2010 11:36:38 PM Lee Emmett thanks Luke, suggest either put yourself (or imagine) in a specific location (eg. farm, school, shopping centre) and identify the sounds, one by one ... then find an appropriate verb (action word) which you associate with each sound ... an onomatopoeia poem will generally form in your mind after you give yourself these sorts of helpful starting 'hints' ... and just keep writing ... everyone's efforts improve with practice ... enjoy!!
