Poem

A Birthday without Daddy

It’s my first Birthday without Daddy
And I don’t know what to do
My first Birthday without Daddy
Sounds like it will be ten shades of Blue.

Tomorrow he won’t be there
He won’t sing to me at all
And as I pick through my gray hair
I’ll cry enough tears to paint the wall

But the room won’t be stained of ten shades of Blue
It’ll just stain of an old memory that I was Used too
I was used to having him here to catch me when I’d fall
No tomorrow he won’t be there at all

I guess the older I get the more I’ll miss you too
What’s a Birthday wish Daddy without you

Betsy GrossThank You Everyone! I seem to be having a lot of thoughts about Dad passing. Most of my writings are associated with Pain and Loss, Loving or Leaving. Some are just having a little Faith knowing God is in my Life I try to rejoyce that feeling.USA9/6/2009 5:23:47 PM
