A Dream a Pencil and a Song
Faded pictures with broken glass The lines on my face a love I Thought would always last disappeared Without a trace as I travel back In time the years drift away and One more time I ask myself why I didn’t stay Now I’m waiting for him to make me happy Or to leave me far behind, I don’t know Where the days went listen to the clocks unwindAll that’s left that keeps me holding on is a dream A pencil and a songJust one promise to keep me holding on A question he could have asked me so I’d know where I belonged Now all That’s left after everything is goneIs a dream a pencil and a songCandle wax on souvenirs together as we dinedI wish I could forget about him before I lose my Mind, Wishing hard and praying fast just for a Wedding stone I counted down till the day I leftLord where did I go wrong, All that’s left that keeps me Holding on is a dream a pencil and a songAll that’s left that keeps me holding on is A dream a pencil and a song..
