The Kitten And The Curtain
In an attempt to explain the purpose of another poem, Achievement 1969, I wanted to show that the framework of the poem was not to blame for harsh scientific nature but it was, in fact, the choice of words. As an example, I wrote another quick poem using the exact same technique with softer words. The end result was actually worthy of being called a poem in its own right. The Kitten And The Curtain--------------------------That my silky purple curtainMaintains flutter without burdenAnd a path no longer certain in a random breeze offshoreIs a notion beyond fathomFor felines who leap with spasmWhen they chase a ghostly phantom in a manner I adoreSoft and simple satisfactionIn this animals attractionTo a movement with an action built on mother natures lawGives me want for interactionSo I kneel and share distraction At the kittens own reaction but am scratched by its sharp clawColin Fiat.
