Solitude
Many loves germinated in my heartBut none ever bloomed out of itI let them all die Because my fear was stronger than my needsI used to live on dreams and promisesWishing reality to look like my own worldI let opportunities pass byBecause my fear was stronger than my hopesI used to depend on circumstancesAfraid to make wrong choices I let my flesh kill my soulBecause my fear was stronger than my faithThere are on my mind traces of painIn my heart feelings like I have lived in vainI have buried my talents in the sand of diffidenceBecause they seem too small to make a differenceAs Solitude has become a lifetime friendAnd silence the only way I can speak loudlyTears have turned into the perfume of my nightsAnd sad memories the blanket of my sleeps
