SILENCE
In the midst of silenceregret feeds, devours my soul andchurns my conscience.Simple things, desires that caused me botherYou ask of me to share with you my time?Putrid thoughts of mecomplicate my livingwhilst my soul lamentsthe loss of smiles of love, of you.Amidst the silenceGuilt beginsto fill my lungs. I gasp for truthand rue each waking moment. The void has brought me clarityDoes clarity beget absolution?but time slips by and yet still I mournThe loss of smilesof love, of you.
