Poem

MUSIC

The magic of a six string
falls on me like a gentle shower
and drowns me in a depth of thoughts
where the world looses its power.
There's no joy , nor any regret
but a mere sensation of being hypnotized.
All worldly fuss just dissolves away
and everything in me gets equalized.
The world runs faster than me
and I cannot maintain my pace.
I give up all my desperate efforts
I lie down and watch the haste.
The music blends with my heartbeat;
The world slowly dies away.
There's nothing left to possess;
nor anything I would betray.
Music flows when strings vibrate
and I can see a lie the world fabricates.
It makes you run the whole day long
but at dusk there's no where you belong.

ROHIT SAPRAThis poem is written so well as in it you have represented life to be a rhythmic creation where if the tunes of the song of life are played well then the music created turns out to be meaningful, otherwise completely meaningless.India3/25/2009 6:29:45 AM

DiegoHi, I've read your poem by chance and I found it very close to my own song "the world runs faster than me". (see www.oblivion999.com/banddisco.htm !!) Good that someone in the world shares my own feelings. I wonder if I could reprise your poem and give it life thru music. All the best! Diego, Italyitaly3/21/2009 12:52:33 PM
