The Last Season
As the cold unfriendly air crept through the morning darknessI stood at my window looking out in disgust. It seems like only days ago the warmth of the sun filled my small, plain room with life. Now it is getting colder and old man winter is on his way.It is as if winter is right around the corner just waiting to take its toll on me and take the life out of my room.Looking out of my window I since winter will be dreary and ever so cold. All I can seem to think about is the bright sun in my eyes and blistering heat I once cursed at in the days passed. But all I can feel is the fast paced winter weather coming into my windows view.Soon I must prepare for the frigid, and lonely days ahead.Bundle up in countless layers of clothes when I am outside of my room in fright of the coldness that prevails. But winter is something that happens every year. So when old man winter and his intimidating cold weather arrives again I am prepared to keep warm and protect my small, plain room.
