Poem

SOLILOQUY

A soliloquy of deafening silence I heard
Vehemently yearning to resurrect a memory
That won't quicken nor dawn to life
I then see eyes growling and dripping
Pain....melting in limpid tears
As it beckons for allay even for a while
Yesteryears' effulgent fancies
That sprightly fades away
In quicksands of desolation
As ocean meets the sky
So shall her pasts and lofty dreams mingle
To be cradled and kept in misty horizons
Grey, yet not vague
shall they be shadows of yesterdays
They'll leave vestige of thoughts
Sing and hum unfeigning songs in the wind
Ripple and gush forth rivers of swirling eddies
So will she make the ashes of the past a fortress That will mirror her lonely and jubilant soul
The rest of creatures will wither
And descend to dust
But naught will memory
It will gush forth and its melody-echo
To live on forever and ever
