My arena, a poem by Laura Elizabeth Stamm, USA
Horses Poems & Sports Poetry

My arena
The arena opens her arms,And I mount my horse.I feel the tough leather reigns in my hands,Knowing they will guide my horse.I close my eyes,I hear whinnying out in the pasture.I smell hay and horse sweat.Dust flies beneath me like it is trying to escape the ground. The beating of horse hooves soothes me,And I can just enjoy the ride.
