And a burst of energy he blewstartling the quiet of massesAnd he reveled in his sainthoodas his roar of Satan emergedAnd the shekels were removed from the pocketsand the room sounded with the clinking of lootAnd still the evangelist cried even louder"Save us from this material doom"And green pape became more abundantas teared sinners pounded their chestsAnd the multitude left depleted yet liftedfor they were lighter with their pockets suppressedAnd the evangelist was exhilaratedas he counted his own worship in mirthAnd the devil whispered "isn't it good to be Christianat least while you're here on this earthAnd the heavens weeped for their childrenand God hung His head down in shameFor his bible was used in a pillageto betray in this sinful exchange
