SISTER
I screamed ‘I hate you’I couldn’t wait until you would leaveI tried to throw a punch or twoso I could be alone to achieveI complained to them almost everydayabout you and what you had told memost of the time they would say okand tell you off until you agreenow I look upon the words you wrotethere was four of books them, I believeeveryday for four years you wrotewhat you were thankful for and what you wanted to achieveyou wrote one detailed passage, I will not forgetabout the drawer dedicated to one gone ‘I didn’t know it was there--I was looking for lined paper’ you wrote when you meton the top was a paper thickly drawn the paper had no wrinkle, no tear stainit was perfect with it’s imperfection you wrote with carefully ascertainto be sure of the recollectionit was a certificate of deathyou assumed in thick clear marks the drawer was made with a conscious breathyou were so confused by the papers remarksbelow the certificate were Christmas cards from forgot friends and papers, boxes of earrings and her unpaid checks also in a small envelope were blue and black pensall detailing about how she had planned for her objectsher purse was still in the plastic Keiser bag, believed you that dad had brought home the day she diedOnce more you told me that it sat on a cardboard box or twoFull of her belongings all inside
