LIKE FATHER LIKE SON

I don't know how to love
I don't know how to be
then the lightening stroked me
with the thought that made me freeze
could it possibly be
that the fault could be caused by me
here is all I have to give my son
after I surrender to the endless sleep
a rope of humble words
that will light the walk that you shall take
the walk which I've done
do not dare let go
in case you fear to lose the way
in case you fight the wild worries
of the path that you shall face
never expect your friends to give
what you call is fate
'cause the only thing they care about
is their solemn souls
oh no my son
no time to sit and hate
get up my son
and look back at the path you've crossed
and feel the smile build upon your face
then turn around and drown your eyes
with tears of blood
coming from your heart
when you see what's left of your path
what's left for you to pace
and regret even take the people
you have met on the way for granted
and treating them with haste
by the time you come to the end
just one step to your grave
take a moment to count
how many can you claim
are your truly faithful mates
you'll look at your white, pale fingers
with eyes oh so wide
from the surprise that slaps your face
when you find out
that there is no more than none
you turn right
you turn left
to spot the bright side you've always kept
but your eyes are blinded
by the darkness that creeps towards you
from every single door
and when the light of your eyes return
you find yourself in your grave
with none of the things you've gained
except of what I've gave
oh you shall sing to your living son
who will sit and cry on top of you
and hand the rope to him
although his cries will drown
what you have to rhime
just like your cries drowned mine
you awaite to meet your lord
and see what you have sinned
I love you son remember that
for me I beg you to pray
to let the lord forgive me
and set me to embrace
the seven heavens he has created
for people who used their lives
in better ways then I could ever seek
and this is what I'll sing to you
from the underneath
now hush my son you go to sleep
tomorrow's another differenet day
whatever destiny lays
I just want you to hear me say
I love you son remember that
for me I beg you to pray
