AUTUMN, a poem by Kevin Nicholas Guerra, Greece
Fall Poems & Season Poetry
Kevin Nicholas Guerra, Greece
AUTUMN
Light is slowly dwindling,As the sun slows in its twinkling. The leaves of the aged have fallenMerely naked fragile frames remain.Icy winds splinter feeble corpses of the living,Once made strong by the warmth of the Sun.The face of man distorted,His meek smile crumbles.Day, is but a virgin whom AutumnHath ravished of its light.Hushed droplets fall nimbly through the skiesIts arrival saddening the heart and penetrating the soul. The heart now heavy and the soul now tornThe forlorn mind soon turns to contemplationIts contemplation a sheer plunge into an infinite hole. The countenance of man is batteredHis humbled smile crumbles…With the onset of Autumn.
