WINTER, a poem by Martina Ruth Hauck, USA
Season Poems & Winter Poetry
Martina Ruth Hauck, USA
WINTER
Snow sprinkled all over the ground like powdered sugar.Icicles hang off the roofs of house and the bottoms of cars. The chilly winds whistling shrilly outside of my window.Children running and trampling all through this winter wonderland.Trees look cold and bare. There is white everywhere you look.People in bright outfits skate across frozen ponds and lakes. The smoke from fires inside of houses spirals out of brick chimneys. Horses pulling carriages full of people clog up the streets of nearby towns and cities.Suddenly the ice starts getting cracks in it like spider webs and everybody is aware that spring is here.
