MY BIG BROTHER

When you lose somebody special
Somebody you love so much
Just think of all the good times
The one with the special touch.

My brother was the greatest
He made me feel so loved,
And I know he is still with me
Because he's watching from above.

I always think of him
How he always made me laugh,
Them were the good times,
That was in the past.

I remember the rides to school,
And how people said we looked alike.
That was a great compliment,
Because he is someone I want to be like.

He was very, very special
To everyone and to me
He's the best friend and brother in the world
He always made me happy.

He was so very tall
The tallest person in school
He stood above everyone,
He thought he was so cool.

It's nice to have someone you can look up to.
Especially my great brother,
He's my best friend in the world
Not like a Dad or Mother.

PegThis made me cry. I lost my brother to cancer not quite three years ago and I don't think I'll ever stop missing him. Your poem really seemed to be about him. He was tall, 6'9" and was every bit a gentleman. No matter what he was going through, he was always polite and not one time did he ever complain. At his service, the funeral director told us that they'd never before had the place so filled that there wasn't a single parking place in the entire cemetery. He never met a stranger and people I didn't know came up to tell me some little thing he did to help them. He was just that kind of guy.USA4/30/2008 2:44:44 PM
