MOTHERHOOD
It all starts the day she knowsA life long love that always growsTheir bond begins the first kickA little movement short and quickNine months later his first sightHis mother's soft face in glowing lightTears of joy are shed aroundHer son cries out his sweet soundHis first step, his first wordShe stands in awe harmony is heardSent from heaven are little onesA young child's smile compares to noneChanges are made in the blink of an eyeSo many questions how and whyBumps and bruises, scrapes and cutsLittle lost puppies pure breds and muttsHis toughest lessons he'll learn from lifeYou feel his pain cuts like a knifeYou teach him wrongs and rightsA boy to a man is seen on prom nightTurn away too long you will missThe day your son vows wedded blissA boy no more but a man I seeTo live his life simple and free
