MY GOLDEN DREAM
I tread the golden path of peaceacross the silvery meadow’s gleam. For all the way the dream I dream,a closer walk with God I seek.In the brisk windy air at dawnthe eagle swiftly soars in flight, perhaps to find a bit of food, perhaps to feed a wife and child. At the sight of the empty nest,at last his cares seem free. But still at noon the eagle soars above, still seeking rays of light and love.It seems by glory’s sunset’s gleamthe end of my sweet dream to dream. The eagle’s laying down his head, all white with worry and despair.I tread the golden path of peacethroughout my whole entire life,to live my life in modestyand die in great humility.
