MY AUNT
My parents brought my aunt over last MondayShe looked really sickShe had come with her two childrenThe journey wasn’t that quickShe had lost weightWe knew she wasn’t wellShe looked really skinnyEveryone could tellShe wasn’t in her right mindSo we talked to her with careShe was deliriousSo we tried not to stareEverything we didMade her irritatedShe kept correcting usShe looked agitatedMy mum tried her bestTo help my auntEven when we tried to hug herShe would put on a stuntHer children were scaredThey started to cryWe had to help them through thisWe had to tryShe has attacked my mumIn the middle of the nightMy dad came to her rescueThings turned out alrightHer husband was in Nigeria As all this took placeHe couldn’t sleep for three nightsUntil he could see her face to faceShe had to go to hospitalWe didn’t know how long it would beMy mum took her clothes and foodAll she was saying was wait and seeI went to check on her in the hospitalTo see if she was alrightShe seemed okayThe future looked brightThen out of nowhereShe started complainingSaying that me looking at the other patientsPrevented her from concentratingShe spoke to her husband on my mum'S phoneComplaining about me,she was deliriousMy mum tried to take the phone off herI thought this can’t be seriousMy aunt came out of hospitalShe seemed to be okayShe is now at home with her familyThank God things turned this way
