GRANDPA
Grandpa I alreadyMiss you so much,No more can I feelYour very special touch. For all fifteen years of my lifeI’ve known and loved you so,I will remember you foreverAnd always look at your photo.Your art was phenomenalYour friendship was the greatest,You always drew me picturesBecause you were a wonderful artist.I always loved being around youYou had the biggest heart,I figured that you would be around foreverI never thought that we would be apart. Now that you’re goneAll I have are the memories,The one’s of us always being togetherAnd you telling me all of your stories.I remember when I was littleYou took me to Speno Park,All of the time that we spent togetherGrandpa, you really left a mark. All of the times that we went to Ben’sThe bat and bar mitzvahs you were there,I wish this wasn’t happeningI wish it were just a nightmare. Some people only stay for a couple of yearsBut you stayed for 81,I hope those years were the very bestWith you here they were the best for everyone. The times we spent togetherWere always really great,I wish we could spend more time with each otherBut now it is too late. It’s too late to go back to Speno ParkIt’s too late to play a card game,It’s too late to do anything that we used to doWithout you, life will never be the same.Grandpa, just promise me one little thingThat you will always wait for me,One day I will be with you againYou just wait and see.Love, Dana
