HARD TO UNDERSTAND

I could never understand
You and me on a cloud
Sitting and looking
At each other's eyes

Quite hard to understand
You and me on this day
Melting and wondering
With the channels
That make us

We are on a cloud
We could only rain
We bring joy to the deserts
But we also bring despair to some

Just like now
You and me on this cloud
Cherishing
Feeling
Alive
And after all this
We strike and some are despaired

But we could only rain
It's not our nature to burn
We cannot even burn
We are droplets of past love
We are still here sitting on the cloud
Waiting for the rage of the fire god to strike us
We knew it from the very start

But I could never understand
Why you and me
Here sitting and looking
Before we drop to the earth
And get lost

I could never understand
You and me are droplets
Soon to hit the earth
You go with river
And I go with sea

Why do we need to bother?
To sit here and look at each other's eyes?
Why do we need to?
When we will soon part our ways?

Quite hard to understand
That we hope to meet again
We knew all along our fate
And as we sit here on this cloud
We will try to burn
Even if it's against our nature

Because if we do
we might not go with the rain to hit the earth
We might burn and go with the strike of the fire god
And then, we will be freed.
