THE PUPPY'S BELLY RUB
The puppy wanted a belly rub,
The puppy wanted a hug.
The puppy sat upon the ground,
People just called him a hound.
The puppy started to cry,
For if the puppy wanted a belly rub,
And a hug,
The puppy would have to lie.
The puppy had a thought,
He would pretend his paw got shot.
He lifted it up so high,
he hurt his thigh.
With a great big yelp,
People rushed to help.
The puppy didn't need his thought,
About his paw being shot.
Along came the vet,
Giving the puppy a pet.
Then the puppy got a belly rub.
And a hug.
