WHO I AM
I carry my head on my shoulders And not in my handsI walk down the busy streets of New YorkRather than on the lonely dirt roads of sandI want to give back to my communityRather than to forget all aboutShow the world that a black woman is worth somethingWithout the slightest doubtTake a seat in the house that will soon be mineThe White House is its name and Washington D.C. is where it shinesWho is this person, still you ask?Is she out of her mind, or in a trance?Well, you may be right, and 9 times out of 10you will be wrong But I promise you she's on her way, and it won't take longBecause this person is out there somewhere; Maybe here, right now But I know one thing, it won't take long to figure this African Princess out
