THE GARDEN
There seemed to have been grassy pathsHere and there,There had once been a flowery bed,And every joy on earth; And yet I felt as if I’d foundA new world – all my own;My heart began to beat aloud,My joy had room to grow. Before, my face had lighted up Under the azure skies,Flowers put out their leaves and buds,The garden was much alive.
