MATH

It’s like Chemistry and Physics,
As difficult as writing a thesis,
Has never been as easy as Music,
Indeed, in numbers I’m truly allergic!

I prefer writing an editorial,
Than solve a perfect square trinomial,
Two… Four… Six… What’s next in the series?
Eight… Ten… Eleven… Infinity never ceases!

I can easily explain science concepts,
But not unstitching y-intercepts,
Not even calculating rate and percents,
Reasons to anticipate other’s assignments…

Why is Mathematics so complicated?
Serves intricate problems, instead;
Geometry, radical expressions and Trigonometry:
Things that contribute to my insanity!

Pythagoras, a mathematician, an astronomer,
Believed the essence of all things is number;
So, tonight I’ll multiply my patience to Calculus,
And shall choose Rene Descartes as my muse…

Constantine Yu ChuaSheela this is so fun to read! The rhythm is upbeat and catchy and it's so nice to read a poem that's this light! I know that making poems like this is even harder sometimes than making a "farewell my true love" type of poem. It requires talent that you obviously have! Proud Filipino here!Philippines10/29/2009 11:54:56 AM

Sheela YabutHello Readers!!! Thank you so much for appreciating my poem... Your pieces of compliment really overjoy my heart! :) I posted this poem to tell the world that I am PROUD to be a Filipino... to bring honor to my motherland, Philippines... :) But I have stopped writing poems for the meantime, I think I have broken my pencil's lead... :( Yet all your messages give me the extra 'push' to rekindle my passion for writing.. God bless you all!!! :):):) The AuthorPhilippines9/28/2009 3:03:33 AM
