Loneliness stood nestled In the distant moutains Lying in wait for my gloomy nights, Chances ney did I give. I gadded from party to party, Revelling my days waste, Heeded not thy cold hands, Cuddling myriad gladsome lives. When you came knocking to trice, Faught you off with indulgence, Down many happy moons, I find your arms around me! The resonance of your faint breath, Hated and kept in abyance all along, Sooths me like soft music, Who's rhythm I hate. You comfort me with your eerie calm, Ney, I abhor this alliance, Yet the thought of parting bathes cold, And I wake up to find we're friends!
