Yesterday, I realized I deserved this world. I found out that this world deserves me. Today I wish to be the wind to reach the very edges and corners. A wind carrying a spirit that embodies all that I am. At times a misty wind of gentle tears of joy that kisses your skin so that you can feel me. Yesterday I realized that I couldn’t support as much of you and your dreams as I would like Today, I wish to be the earth to support your every step. To carry your weight and take on all of you To lighten your step so that you may travel another To see the paths that are taken. Yesterday, I realized I was not meant to save everyone. I found out that my soul needs just as much saving. Today I wish to be the sun just to show you the beauty of a day’s beginning. To see you open your eyes and realize that you have been given another chance. To be in your vision to warm your inner thoughts. Yesterday, I realized that I wasn’t immortal. Though today I found it wasn’t my day to die. Today, I speak of tomorrow as I believe I was meant to see. Today, I find comfort in just breathing. Tomorrow my love is reborn and I realize the difference a day makes.
