The bullets blow past the ear The darkness is what they fear You fear not Because you believe in your cause You've been trained to protect yourself, Your men, Your country, But above all else The rights of the people You put aside all of the politics, All of the remedial quarrels, All of the unrelenting danger All for what you believe is right Your bravery should be called Integrity, Kindness or Courage But bravery works You've never been one to ask for praise Bravery, may be an understatement But it works.
