When I am down You pick me up When I cry You lend me a shoulder When I smile You are smiling right along with me When I tell one of my corny jokes You are the first to laugh When I sing You always know the song When I tell you how bad my day was You tell me I've been through worse When I give up You are there to encourage me on And when I need you most You are my true friend
