My dad, he is a good man, And everyone should know, That he is really special, And I love him so. One day he saw a doctor, Who told him what to do, His kidney was not working well, We all felt sad and blue. We went to New York City, Jersey and Boston too, To put his name on waiting lists, To see what they can do. We visited with doctors, They were very sweet, They gave us much encouragement We knew we couldn't be beat. I felt a little nervous, As certainly I should, My mom said not to worry, It all would turn out good. And then my Christmas present, Came early in the fall, It seemed my mom was a match, For dad's kidney after all! And now we're looking forward, To good things and health, I got my Christmas present-- So much better than lots of wealth. My daddy will get stronger, More and more every day, I've got my Christmas present, And here's what I have to say: I now know what's real important, Not all that other stuff, My mom, my dad,and Bambi Now that is quite enough!
