A faithful dancer, ballet her specialty, Envisions her future, her name on a marquee. Performing before thousands, lights shining upon her face, Her movements demonstrating poise, elegance, and grace. To accomplish this dream, she is willing to pay the price, Unafraid of that intimidating word, "sacrifice." Conscious of each move, resisting all distractions, Understanding that every action results in a reaction. Training hours each day, improving her condition, This ballerina is determined to complete her mission. She knows what must be done in order to grow stronger, She must go beyond her limits, and practice even longer. She must rehearse each day, strengthening her technique, It will be physically demanding, perfecting her physique. Competitive indeed is the world of dance, Each performer hoping to receive the chance To become successful in a career where jobs are few, To expose their talent to the world in an opening debut. To see their picture on a bus or a billboard in the city, Would certainly be far from a pity. Will this dancer's aspiration become a reality, Or only affect her mentality?
