When the sea breeze came And the tide rose in 'It is time to go, honey The sailboats are ready Take care of the children for me' So the stars were then sparkling Together they formed a constellation 'That is to where I have to go And I'll be back with jinglings of dough' A battle against the sea waves had begun As the darkness came across the horizon 'But I won't come home for bringing you a shame Pray for me for I'll meet you again' And so that the little dwelling of straw stood still on the silent shore Waiting for the return of their warriors 'Our blessings will always be with you, dear Fight for our own luck with no fear As for the children I'll tell them a story For they'll know the true diamonds of the sea.'
