 Poem:

A FISHERMANS' DREAM

Chilling on the pier one Friday evening
Everyone just hanging out and having fun
just drinking some cold ones and Casting our poles out
To see who could catch the big one

We were trying to see who would catch the big fish
So I threw my reel out to see if I could win
I just stood there watching everyone when
My buddy started pulling a big fish in

I was the only one that hadn't got a bite
And everyone was bragging on what they had
All of a sudden from my pole started to bend
It felt like I had Moby Dick on my pole and he was fighting mad

So I started jumping up and down and laughing kind of loud
Telling everyone that I got a big one on my pole
I began to reel him in but he was putting up a good fight
Everyone started cheering me on and winning was now my goal

The fish was putting up such a big fight that it took me and two of my friends
To help battle that fish and do our best to pull that sucker in
It bent my pole way down and I became even more excited then
I almost burst my side laughing about how much trouble this fish had been

I'd never worked so hard to catch the fish of my dreams
That I reeled on back and started to shake and then hum
I shouted out "That big fish is almost working me to death"
Then it turned out he was no bigger than my thumb
