 Poem:

THE TWIN

The twin

Wants to hear
that he's ok
to feel alive
be loved
not left behind

Thinks he did good
and in return
got bad
missing a home
he never had

Reckons he's honest
last one left
never lays
a hand in theft

Inside outside
right or left
what you see
is what you get

Believes he's
upward bound
if not this time
next time around

A man
with dreams
it's just not
what it seems

Looks at himself
but even in his place
another person
stares him
in the face

Tells him
you're this you're that
life goes on
that's all he got
a stranger twin
running things
day out day in

as much as he will dip
awake or in peaceful sleep
until the light touches him
he will not see
a reality
better than any dream

Marcia SchechingerJosef now there is a verse. Makes the reader think and ponder your words. The last lines "he will not see a reality better than any dream" - perfection. :)USA3/18/2009 8:23:10 AM
