 Poem:

DEAREST COUSIN

It seems its such a long time we met
yet its just a shortwhile ago.
Remembering our first encounter
with each other makes me laugh.
We had to introduce ourselves,
Imagine! cousins not knowing themselves.
Well, thank God that's all history now.

From the moment I talked to you,
I knew you were a unique person.
Purposeful and determined,but very emotional.
Relaxed and gentle,but very hardworking.
Dearest Cousin I must confess
since I met you,
my life has not been the same.

You have affected my life unknowingly.
By observing you,I have learnt
how to be generous, show care to my friends
and how to be accommodating.
By your studious nature, you challenged me
to be the best in my academics
and in all I do.

In fact you have so changed me that I'm beginning
to imagine all I would have lost if I hadn't met
you;you make me long to know more cousins if I can
gain so much from them like I did from you.
You are indeed a standard for all cousins.
Dearest Cousin,I want you to know that I love you,
and you have a deserved, special place in my heart.
