| Deanna Dilley | Sheridan, this is really good. For someone who claims she doesn't like poetry, you definately have talent. And I like that your poem is free verse...not rhyme. A majority of my poems are free verse.
I'm a Special Olympics athlete in Ohio, and have written several inspirational sports poems...some about SO...most sports in general. I have three older cousins and their "kid" sister who played soccer. Another cousin started out playing T-ball in preschool and worked her way up to becoming an assitant softball coach at Notre Dame High School in Toledo, OH. No, Kylie was not a student there. Yeah I am definately an athlete. I'm the varsity goalkeeper for our high school team, play Arizona ODP, and for the Hammers. Soccer is a huge aspect of my life.
I obviously love this game and wasn't trying to degrade it. I had to write a poem for english and my emotions kind of just spilled on to the paper.
