 Poem:

WITHIN MY GRIP..

Time strolls its way to what I await,
Fruits of what I, my life did relate,
Arrival, of whose we mark the date,
Just request you kin, not to be late.
A new beginning, a new life, a new phase,
Coming into our world, a sapling so to raise,
Months of nine, hard and strong, did we survive..
Flying into our lives, a bond so alive!

From two to three, a couple to family,
Soon there would be no grieve to see..
From a dark pool of love and care,
Soon there would be a name so rare!
To quench your thirst, to steal your hunger,
To boon you dreams for a quiet slumber..
To change the great family, I hold in love..
With blessings bestowed on you, from up above.

Read hymns did I, to soothe your cotton ears,
Saw visions of affection, in colours of tears,
Spoke words of innocence, to enrich your sense..
Felt all did I, for a new feeling to commence.
My family awaits, to see the face of God,
As, a new born is not far from Lord,
Mentors to groom, Friends to play,
Family to be with in times of dismay.

Laughter of your song that you may bring,
Life and love, mine wait to sing..
Spoken to you of God, the joy of a heart..
Waiting for you to explore, what love imparts!
All I now foresee as times to pass,
Yearning for these memories to forever last.
A day or two over time may flow..
and a day would finally let me know..

Baby, oh! mine, would see the world..
In arms of kind, my kin would curl!
Blessings, prayers and flowers would shower,
For a second, as a woman, may lose my power.
A drop down the pink, a curve down my cheek.
For the cry of my womb, the little eyes who peek.
A look into the eyes of love and the life below.
All I now wait is for this angel to grow.
