Poem: |
SLIP AWAY
|
| |
Yesterday is just as blurred as two years ago, Today is sharp as a tack but soon I will let go. Time is running short as my memory slips away, As tomorrow nears today fades away. Pushed away by new ones now no stronger than a weave, Where do my memories go as soon as they leave? Pressure on my mind as I lose another day, If only I could find the one and only way. I wish I had the power to grant myself a wish, So that I could put all my memories in a precious dish. I’d keep the dish close at hand so years stay close, Of all the times I’ve wanted to remember meaningful roasts. As I close my eyes as I got to sleep, There’s worry through my body so much I want to weep. My dreams soften the pain like the melody of a song. As my view darkens my memory is now gone, Yesterday is just as blurred as two years ago, Today is sharp as a tack but soon I will let go.
