plan,
Hunger sounds long and loud,
Growl, Growl, it says to me.

Says hunger to me, feed me please,
Feed me in the usual way,
I fear I may dye if you no,
Throw some stew in that pot.

Says hunger to me, ever so loudly,
I linger a bit, ingnoring it,
Then I open and shut the fridge door,
Ahhh, that left over roast beef, I eat.

Says hunger to me, Ahhh peace.
No more growls, no more sounds,
Hunger is gone, no....feed me howls,
My belly it sighs quietly, not now.

Linda Terrell pen name Lindy Bates
August 2, mine,
soon we both shined.
He rescued my heart,
just in time,
I was loosing control,
I feared too,
maybe even my soul.
his big brown eyes,
sent within me, a glow,
so bold, so free,
could he, possibly love me.
now I may never know,
I think of him now,
still, when it snows,
to soon I walked away,
to regret now every day.

Lindy Bates
Linda Terrell
May 3. weather brings changing,
All aglow yet so rearranging,
Little lilly, blooming bud in sunlight,
Never knowing tomorrow the what might,
Be rain or snow, little petals lift to glow,
Yellow blossoms toward the sun,
Little children through them run,
To pick a hand full for fun of day,
April not yet May.

Still a chill comes from the North,
Snow riding on the winds blow forth,
Dreams of minds gently fade,
Like watching the end of a parade,
Lillies petals fall fare, floating in the wind
Little lilly, now just a memory in the mind.

Lindy Bates

I think little yellow lillies represent the first sign of spring, but maybe not always.

Painter Like A Poet Bates

What if we were living on a floating tumor.
In the belly of a monster.
Not on the home we know as earth to what we refer.

What if we were living on a simple lost pebble,
drifting floating in mid-air, yet so acceptable,
Far away,a world we know and call home, that's so reliable.

These things are fantasy, made up of such fiction,
fantacy to some, a reading addiction,
to be tangled in a world of make believe,
A new demension to emagine or conceive,
A high of reading delight to achive,

So grab a fiction book with sheer delight,
To invision in dreamland every night,
With simple fantasy we drift away, tonight,
upon wings of dreams fiction flight.

Lindy Bates
Linda Lindy Bates

Vast green lands,
flowing white sands,
Oh how I wish,
to go fish,
among Gods created senery.

Tomorrow is another day
I will continue to pray,
viewing life's sunny skies,
where my heart lies,
to cast my pole up and high.

Lindy Bates
Linda Bates

So long ago I used to smoke,
Now that smell, it makes me choke,
Just a drag to make my day,
To deeply sigh, and sway,
A comfort, a bit array.
Now years have passed,
I gladly sigh at long last,
That temptaion is one of the past.

Coffee and tea equal caffine,
Keeps me small and lean,
Both still a vice of mine,
With my nerves they daily entwine,
On occasion at day ends, sip of wine,
To savor, yet lingering in my mind,
The money I saved on smokes,
Visions some day, a vacation near the a day,
In total dismay,
The sweeper broke,
Grandma nearly had a stroke,
The micorwafe broken too,
Oh what a day, oh what will I do.

The big gray cat had kittens one, two, three,
The lightning hit the backyard tree,
The roof now leaks,
Hope it doesn't rain for weeks.

The car broke down,
All I do is frown,
Fixing this mess, so sad and blue,
Using only duct tape and glue,
Oh what a day, oh what shall I do.

A friend dropped of a sweeper,
Yard sale replaced my microwave disaster,
Patches of tar upon the roof,
Fido loves the new kittens, woof, woof,
Car out of gas, now runs again.
Prolems solved but tomorrow awaits.
Paint to apply on the garden fence and gates.

Lindy Bates
Linda Terrell
April 5, Bates

Jump and rise little flower,
To the sky forward tower,
Such a loving power,
Amidst the magnolias, lillies, and sunflowers,
Stretch higher and higher, so tall and proud.
Sky or bust each have vowed.
Luxuroius rain showers,
Generously teasing the tiny flowers,
Gently tappy at it's listful leaves,
With the breeze the strong stalk weaves.
Cast about from side to side, as in a sentual dance.
Pedals brushing one another,in a romantic trance,
Pollun, pollun, in the wind,
From one to another, as a lover had sinned.

Lindy Bates
Linda Terrell
April 5, past me in the night,
You gave me such delight,
You made paths, mine to yours unite.
You give me an awful fright,
You now chase me in my dreams,
You linger always in my mind,
You once to me was so kind,
You hold a place in my heart,
You and I there will never part,
Keep my Love your distance,
For if we should venture together again,
we may burn with such loving passion,
for one another, life would end.

Lindy Bates
Linda Bates

Whispering Whimzy,
Whispering Whimzy,
A tiny voice of sheer delight,
Sent upon this world in flight,

It made me eat all that cake,
And throw the cat in the lake,
Yet another mistake.

Some talk of angels,
Sent of a Godly missions,
To save a live,
Of his vast creations.
True of those strong in Faith,
But I ask with such care,
What makes the little boys,
Pull little girls hair,
As I ask with such dare,
What makes little girls
Gossip of selfish tales.

Upon the vast wings of,
Whispering Whimzy they all fly,
Not a thought of how or why,
To parents wishes they deny,
God bless us all,
Guard us day and night,
From Whispering Whimsy's on flight,
Strong Faith keeps him out of by Lindy Bates

As I watched from afar,
while I walked briskly,
in the dark, Stars shining,
down one we.

As I watched from afar,
he climbed up the hill,
quietly and still.

As I watched from afar,
his clothes blended in,
greens browns, covers him,
not disclosing any skin.

As I watched from afar
he rested against the tree,
just me watching he,
he pulled his gun,
up too his chin,
not even a grin,
briskly flying like the wind,
that deer run near him.

As I watched from afar,
he pulled the trigger,
aiming with vigor,
he stopped to see it drop,
just a sad quick flop,
as I watched from afar,
beneath those fading early morns stars,
What I had witnessed by-far,
some might consider bizarre.

As I watched from afar,
the shining knife,
as glimmering as a bright star,
he placed it in the deers belly,
gripped tightly to pull,
his large hands, splattered brutally,
like red jelly, warm steam rose,
his persistence for-told,
he a hunter so bold,
For his family, the food,
as killing,
might not be for just the hunt.

As I watched form afar,
I his son, his bright star,
valuable lesson learned,
as stomach churned,
a hunters knife shines so bright,
in the early morning light,
With it meal time comes,
to hunters family,
all winter long.

Linda Terrell
April 29,2009

I live in an area where deer cause unnecessary car wrecks darting from trees by twos and trees. Hunting here is for the purpose of eliminating deer just as one would spray bug spray to eliminate pesky spiders or ants.
Fairy's in the hallway,
Dancing one by one,
Up and down the stair case,
Flying swiftly over doillies, made of fancy lace.

Monkies in the garden,
Jumping all about,
An Elephant in the kitchen,
Sipping coffee through his snout.

Now if this wasn't enough,
I caught a tiger chewing tobaccoo snuff,
He leaped over the coffee table,
To greet his wife, he called Mable.

"Dear," he replied,
As the yelping coyotee outside sighed,
Do keep you lovely coat clean
And your mind ever so keen.

The coyotee entered, flopped down upon the couch,
As the kangroo checked her fury pouch,
From that pouch peeked a smiling raindeer,
Upon it's face I spotted it's silly snear.

I leaned back to laugh at such a redculess sight,
Then with a glimpse of a mouse, he eyes bulged with fright.

He pulled, tugged, grabbed the end of the big green slug,
The mouse lid on his back, he smiled so snobbishly smug,
As the Gazel in the corner drank hot chocolate from a mug.

Then I awoke to spy with my sleepy eye,
Fairy glitter sprinkled low and high,
I scratched my head in wonder, was it really a dream,
Or might it have been, a fairy's silly magical scheme.

Lindy Bates
Linda Terrell
April 10, 2009

I like to make up silly children's stories and fantacy fiction tales...Just shows all the silly thoughts our minds are capable of. Hope it brings a smile to your face.

Upon My Roof by Lindy Bates

A big old brown bear upon my roof,
It sounds like a raindeers hoof.

That big old brown bear upon my roof.
It growled but nigh a woof woof.

That big old brown dog upon my roof
I listened, yet I remained aloof.

That big old brown dog with metal paws,
But nigh a cat's claws.

That big old calico cat upon my roof,
I heard it meow and mewo and meow.

There were 7 little kittens coming from my roof.
Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow, meow.

Linda Bates

I wrote this to entertain my dear little grandaughters.
Two of them are spending the night at grandmas tonight.
