blood,
lay several crimson roses,
upon the grass and mud.

The widows tears fall freely,
the children silent as they gaze,
watching the flag's slow rising,
blurred by unacceptance haze.

Those prounouced the lucky,
lay on beds of white,
missing bits and pieces,
which they had given to the fight.

The trumpets coats were shining,
as they danced in rays of sun,
their notes drifting through the air,
telling all it had begun.

The widows weeped like newborns,
the children no longer still,
the sound of grief unbearing,
upon that crowded hill.

Goodbye our sons and husbands,
you fought till battles end,
goodbye our loving brothers,
no more will you defend.

Aligned in rows like soldiers,
no longer petals red,
lay several dirt-streaked roses,
from our country for which they Aleksandrovna Montik

Keep a smile on that pretty face,
don't let your eyes fall down.
I know you are suffocating in hurt
and it feels like you are going to drown.

I see the tension in your smile,
I hear the tremor in your voice,
and the ugly part about it,
fate hadn't given you a choice.

The shadows playing in your eyes
reveals a glimpse of what's inside,
and I shiver when I see that almost
all of your soul has already died.

I'm sorry you had to feel pain
and cry those precious tears,
I wish i could have held your hand
when you had to face your fears.

You're never going to be alone again,
I promise you I'm here to stay,
so keep that pretty smile baby,
I love you in every possible way.

PRAISING GOD by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik

Clap your hands and
Stomp those feet,
Keep on moving
To the beat.
Raise your head
And shout it out,
Loving Jesus is
What it's all about.
Sing all day and
Dance all night,
Praising Jesus till
The morning light.
Listen to that
Mighty sound,
Christ our Savior
Has been crowned.
Now we bow
Our heads and pray,
Thanking God
For this new Montik

Baby Is This Love Enough

I don’t want to fall in love with you ,
I already made that mistake before,
but here I am tripping over your smile and
missing you with every breath once more.

But this time it’s a little different,
this time I am scared,
I want to be ready for a broken heart,
but I don’t know how to be prepared.

You’re just so amazing,
I love you more than ever,
you say you love me also,
but can you promise me forever?

I want to be there when you cry,
when you laugh and when you smile,
but baby is this love enough,
to get us through the hardest mile?

Last time even though I tried so hard,
everything we had just fell apart,
and so I have to wonder baby,
is this love enough to keep us heart in heart?

SILLY SLAVA by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik

Silly Slava lost a sock,
He searched for it everywhere.
The school bus had already come,
But Slava did not care.
He did not want to go to school
With one sock in his shoe,
While the second of the pair,
Was hidden completely out of view.
Slava now has missed the bus,
His sock still out of sight,
Sitting down he began to cry,
His day wasn't starting right.
Silly Slava stop your tears,
And look beneath the bed.
Your missing sock is laying there,
Waiting for the day ahead.
Wanting to get to school on time,
He runs off across the lawn.
Oh little silly Slava,
You forgot to put your sock on!
Two Hearts by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik

Inside two hearts God planted,
a special seed called love,
and caring for them tenderly,
He watched them growing from above.

They grew bigger with every minute
awaiting for their time to bloom,
and with every tear drop laugh and smile,
prepared themselves to be bride and groom.

Finally the time had come,
for these two hearts to meet,
the plan God had made just for them,
was about to be complete.

Looking into each others eyes,
they saw the beautiful life ahead
and with gentle blessings from above,
these two hearts were finally wed.
Her Life by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik

Her Life

Kiss my lips and tell me a lie,
kiss me again and make me cry.
Hug me hold me make me believe,
kiss me once more before you leave

Pretend to make me feel okay,
its just an excuse for you to stay.
Then use me and think I am too dumb,
while I’m scared of you, worn out and numb.

Play with my feelings, treat me like a doll,
use me, abuse me, then watch as I fall.
Its not like I matter, I’m only a toy,
you could care less, its me you destroy.

I don’t have any power, I don’t have the control,
mourning for my innocence, which you had stole.
I have nothing left, you took it all from me,
I’m not my own person, just a piece of your property.

All that’s left to do is act like I don’t care,
and stop trying to hope for something fair.
Just take what is coming my way,
and live the moments from day to day.

Completely Confused by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik

Completely Confused

It’s that butterfly feeling again but for all the wrong reasons.
The voice inside of you that is supposed to tell you what is
right and what is wrong is confused because even it can’t
understand how something that feels so right can be so wrong.

Its like you’re stuck between two acts in the second scene and half of
you is acting out the lines of the first act and the other half of you is acting
out the lines of the second act and to each half it feels right because you are
Going by the script but to you as a whole, it seems wrong and confusing.

How is your heart supposed to listen to you when you want to do one
thing but instead you go off and do something totally and completely
different and while you are off doing that one thing your mind is
miles away thinking about a forth think not connected with the other three?

So, are you supposed to change what is wrong and make it right,
but if you do that, then what does the right become or are you
just supposed to let it go and take things one step at a time and
relax, take a deep breath, and just enjoy the moment?
For Lily by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik

I will never forget the day
that changed my life forever,
it was the first time that I saw you and I
knew things were going to get better.

I knew that you were special
when you looked into my eyes,
and at that very moment,
I was dreading our goodbyes.

And when there were many cities
that seperated me from you,
there were those texts and phone calls
and the time just flew.

You became a part of my life,
a part I love with my whole heart,
and I started to feel close to you
as if we weren't so far apart.

No matter what will happen
im here for you until the end,
i miss you very very much
and i will forever love you friend.

Prayer of a Sad Girl by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik

Help me sense your presence God

so I don’t feel so all alone

and help me find the courage that

I need to face yet another morning.

Show me how to love God

not only others but myself too

and give me the strength to keep my

words clean and to keep myself pure.

Help me hear the melody that

You have placed inside my heart

and give me the desire to

share it with everyone.

I thank You for Your blessings

and for all You do for me

for loving me unconditionally

and for my friends and family.

Dying Flame by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik

It was an enormous fire burning

inside of me for Jesus and

it made me feel so safe and

so happy and I was filled with love.

I cross her off my list and a glance at the

worn page shows me that there is not a lot

of people left for me to trust and the mean remarks

of the crossed out names sting me again.

It’s only a flame now but it’s still burning

within me though it is not as bright and

it still shows me forgiveness and can

make me smile through my storm of tears.

I cannot cry and there is no way I can just

withdraw and stop talking and laughing and

being myself cuz to let them know how much

they are hurting me is to give them power over me.

It’s been extinguished onto a spark by the hate

and everything inside me is charred black

and the light from the spark is so dim and I can’t see

and I no longer feel the warmth.

Facing Lonliness With You by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik

With your smile caressing my mind it’s

easier to face the bold blackness of an emptiness

that spears any bit of happiness with its

driven stare and deflating it into a thin memory.

The stream of words cascading from your

shy heart that wishes to make me happy

kisses the soul inside of me which has began

to fold away all the dreams not meant for it.

Taking a leap away from the desirable death,

the crimson that flows through me swept away the

shimmering stars that were waiting to burst inside

every dark empty spot and lighting me with warmth.

The gentle touch of your soft and quiet whisper

invites me to close my eyes and to take in the

peace that your voice is offering to my broken

spirit and without a single pause I surrender.

I Miss You by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik

I miss the perfect way
my hand fit into yours
the smile on your face
when you looked into my eyes.

I miss the way you held me
tight as if not to let me go
the way your voice sounded
when you told me i was beautiful.

I miss the way you wanted
to be with me all the time
the way a single text from you
would make me laugh and smile.

I'm sorry I never told you that
I want to be with you forever
I'm sorry I never told you that
you are everything for me.

Can You Hear Me God? by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik

I'm right over here God.
I'm not hiding anymore.
Do as you please.
I'm not running away.
I've had it with my life.
Take it if You want.
I don't need it anymore.
Where'd you put the sun?
Where did the stars go?
You know I can't see.
Where is the light?
I'm still here God.
Still confused.
Tell me why it happened.
What went wrong?
I was a good girl.
But not good enough.
He did not like me.
God, are you gonna help?
Take me, i'm still standing.
You said to call out.
Well, i'm shouting out.
Why can't You hear me?
I'm invisible, is that it?
I thought You were loving.
Maybe they just told me wrong.
Well, I'll stand here waiting.
Ain't gonna move, ok?
Not until You find me.

Dance Into My Heart by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik

Brighter than a sunbeam
more happy than a smile
sweeter than golden honey
dance into my heart.

A sparkle of clear air
the mist of rose perfume
an angel from above
dance into my heart.

A furious flame of wonder
that sets my hope on fire
you're perfect in my eyes
dance into my heart.

There are footprints on my mind
you walk there everyday
be with me forever
dance into my heart.

Happy Birthday by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik

You don’t know how you’re supposed to feel
All the emotions just blur into one
Another year gone, another year older
You’re eighteen today.

Your ringing phone carries well-wishes from friends
And you respond to each one with a smile
There is more freedom, more choices to make
You’re eighteen today.

Memories and mistakes play games in your mind
Each one making you laugh or cry
New memories to store, new mistakes to make
You’re eighteen today.

Not wanting to let go of all of those moments
You hug them close for the very last time
With a new strength you let go of seventeen
You’re eighteen today.

Reading Her by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik

Trying hard to keep you from finding out

The truth about how she really feels about

You she becomes an empty blank page

That doesn’t have even the slightest mark.

Looks at everything and everyone except

You because she knows that you have

Learned to read all of those words that

Are printed on her big and innocent eyes.

Before you used to talk to her and she

Would answer with that adorable smile

And you would laugh with her but now

She won’t allow herself to talk to you.

You stand around and talk to other girls but the

One and only girl that you want to talk to stands

Off to the side and talks with her own friends

Because you are too scared to start a conversation.

Don’t you know that she thinks that

You don’t like her and that there is

No chance for her to be your special girl

She thinks you are avoiding her.

Stop playing with her innocent heart and

Tell her what you have always wanted to

Tell her and what she has always wanted

To hear from you and only you.

She’ll show you her smile again and

You will hear that laugh that has always

Made you wish you could takes her in your

Arms and who knows, maybe she will let you.

Kissing Her Smile by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik

Soft lips that curve into the perfect smile

Gently say her name and as he gets nearer

She backs away until a cold corner traps her

In and allows him to come up close.

Those big brown eyes had her falling for

Him before but she was not fooled anymore

By his playful charm that he displayed like

The Christmas tree seen in the window.

The hand she used to hold swept her cheek

And traced the outline of her trembling lip

And with deliberate movement lifted up her

Pale face until she gave him her troubled gaze.

Little Dummer Boy played softly in the

Background as thoughts flew in and out of

Her mind while he just stared into her eyes

And watched the sadness swirl in them.

Colored lights twinkled cheerfully on the tree

In the opposite corner from her but neither one of

Them took notice as she tried hard to guard her tears

From leaving so that he wouldn’t have to catch them.

With a strength that came from thin air she pushed

Him away and once freedom was gained her voice came

Back and months of broken words tumbling out until

She had nothing left to tell his silent figure.

Ready to move on with her life she glanced at him one

Last time and as she turned away the charm that blazed

From him like the light on a New Years candle went out

And the love spell broke into a million pieces.

Walking away she steps through the doorway into

The new year with a twinkle in her eyes and the

Mistle Toe that shines above her winks as two

Blue eyes laugh and bend over to kiss her smile.

Innocent Love by Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Montik
In the corner of a small
And neglected room,
The cries of a child
Rest on the stuffy air.
Left once more in the
Care of her only sister,
She cries out for the
Mother that didn't care.
Her mother has returned
And not knowing a thing
About hate she reaches out
To the woman before her.
She is pushed aside by
Dirty hands but still she
Tries to hug the tired
Woman who didn't care.
Such big innocent love
For such a small child who
Wants nothing more than
The love of her mother.
