hue,
sharp seagreen eyes in ageless face
her skin the silk of Angel's grace,

The forest stills as she floats by,
as plants and creatures heave a sigh,
within her wake she leaves a trail,
of softness,love,o'er hill and dale,

Upon her head a crown lit bright,
of heaven's stars of loving light,
we children feel a mother's touch,
her food, her warmth, she gifts so much,

In Spring she coaxes forth new shoots,
In Summer ripens grain and fruit,
In golden Autumn,harvest blessed,
In Winter's frost she takes a rest,

She is the babble of the brook,
the raucous cawing of the rook,
the diamond lace,of morning dew,
remembered by the caring few

THE CAT by Sinead Tynan

Sneaking,creaking,opens the door
Slither,thither,over the floor
Pitter,patter,under the bed
Bounding,pounding,close to my head

Bumping,thumping,sounds of my heart
Moaning,groaning,oh what a start
Flicking,clicking,where is the light
Quaking,shaking,I had a fright

ONE PERFECT NIGHT IN SUMMER by Sinead Tynan

Balmy setting sun,warmed evening,
light scent,of fresh cut grass,
party in full swing,
rising blush,of my skin,
betrayed your gaze,upon me,
sensual warmth,your body,
near to mine,
crystal blue eyes,
setting course,a fire to rage,
within my veins,as
our fingertips,entwined,
intensely,electric emotion,
smile upon your face,
coal black sheen,of your hair
framing,deep summer tan,
a fading crowd,
stillness between us,
spoke volumnes,no uttered word,
sounds of acoustic ballads,
lilting,through night air,
encircled,in your arms
nestled on damp,dewy grass,
as the first rays,of a
rising sun,streaked morning sky,
gentle touch,of your lips
seeking mine,sleep of peace,
distracted you were,
as I slipped away,
time erased your name,
my heart,holds the memory
of stars,burning bright,
one perfect night,in Summer.

SOUL FRIEND by Sinead Tynan

Ancient memories,reflected,by your eyes,
had stirred my heart,to waken,
how do I know you?I know you forever,
friend,no senseless chatter as before,
unlikely to those, who could not comprehend,
this bond between a woman and a man,
long nights we danced, till the sun lit the horizon,
debated,the theories of collective conciousness,
while pondering on the fate,of the Maya,
within our minds,we fought to free Tibet,
simple silence is gentle, while lost in thought,
the essence of our spirits,entwining,
you are May,as I am December,
convention bade me sever the ties,
as in your eyes, your soul cried out to me,
let me love you with my heart,
standing on the bridge of change,
I lit the fire,you caught a flight,
you wandered in the world,
I wandered,lost in life,
time to time you called,
I did not read between the lines,
many months is three by ten,
awkward silence,cut the air,
till I walked within your memories,
sharing red Chilean wine,
you stand upon the bridge,
rebuilt,it is stronger now,
I ignore the yearnings of my heart,
the sadness in your eyes,
I know that you are leaving,
when you walk the road to Santiago,
the dust from your shoes,
will blur the lines,of my shadow.

THE MAN IN THE MIRROR by Sinead Tynan

I looked in the mirror and what did I see,
A strange little man there staring at me.
His face was all wrinkled, saggy and wey,
The hairs on his belly were curly and grey.
Who is this man in the mirror, just staring at me,
With a strange purple nose,oh please leave me be!
Scared to look,I drop my face,
Quickly stepping back a pace.
Looking back up I see he's not there.
Hopefully hiding after my scare.
Closer I go to brush my own teeth,
Slowly,slowly,dragging my feet.
Raising my eyes, just what do I see?
That strange little man doing exactly like me.

THE SMILE by Sinead Tynan

Beautiful smile in eyes deep and wide.
Flashing spears of brightness,sharply
Pooling in pupils dark,moonless skies.
A smile slipping wider than an ocean.
Lips red like cherries, soft as apple blossem.
Coyly,shyly looking with head tilted
sideways,downy eyelashes fluttering,
In the breeze, created by my breath.

SKY FALL by Sinead Tynan

Light a fire, then call it love,
Will it withstand time.
Up above,just like a dove,
Or fall down once to climb,
The thorny tendrils of the rose,
Sweet,smooth lines of the sky,
Spinning in it's first love throes,
To fall from way on high.

FALLING by Sinead Tynan

Butterfly wings flapping softly,soaring high,
Bluey green tips, gliding through the sky.
Bluebird song thrilling,a sweet lullaby.
To the heavens,Angels called by a child's cry,
Hummingbird flits from flower to flower,
Sun radiates,through a spring shower,
Little boy fell,an Angel kissed his knee.
He smiled,stood up,pointed at she,
Shimmering dots of colour, brighest light of all,
The Angel smiled at him,be careful not to fall.

LOVESONG by Sinead Tynan

The rain fell soft, upon the pane,
Rivulets streaming,down the lane.
Looking out,up to the hills,
Awash with yellow daffodils.

A burst of birdsong, fills the air,
Peep closely at this special pair.
Huddled close,this misty morn,
A song of love,not lost,just born.

LOST by Sinead Tynan

I call your name softly,
through a winter,frosted night.
My voice cracking,with emotion,
with tear deluged,love,fright.
Your footsteps resounding dully,
breaking panes,of puddles beneath.
Come back I call,fully
into an empty,fog filled street.
A dull pain echoes,spreads within.
When love is lost and can't be found,
All darkness now,no heart within my skin,
Tick tock the clock,to me no sound.

A SUMMER BREEZE by Sinead Tynan

The wind it blew,in through the trees.
Along the leaves,a summer breeze.
At length the branches,slipping down,
Until it reached the open ground.

A sparkle lit the open air.
The summer breeze blew in her hair,
Hidden deep within the leaves,
This magic web the spider weaves.

Out from clouds,a sunburst shone.
A radiance lights up the sun.
Magic is this life we weave,
Each new day a summer breeze.

STARLIGHT by Sinead Tynan
Darkness falls all around like shimmering seeds of golden sand.
Twinkle, twinkle go the stars,a myriad of reaching, shining hands,
as Angels watch,as Angels pray, until the morning, until the day,
when all is bright, the darkness gone ,the Angels putting out the sun again at night,
to help us sleep.

FEATHERS OF LIGHT by Sinead Tynan

Feathers of Light, float around me gently
In your words,I hear wisdom
In your touch,I feel healing
In your colour,I see Light

Feathers of Light, float around me gently
Teach me of wisdom
Teach me of healing
Teach me of Light

Feathers of Light , float around me gently
When I have listened,I will learn
When I have healed,I will Heal
I have been Light,always

Feathers of Light, floating gently , carried on the breeze of love

HEAVEN'S GATE by Sinead Tynan

Last night,I dreamt I was not here,
but someplace else,I know now where.
I woke to find myself fly high,
in fiery chariot, through clear blue sky.
The sun burnt bright, upon my face,
eight hooded riders,kept my pace.
The horse's wings, shone gold and white,
each rider's clothes, burnt bright of light.
As I was thrown, from side to side,
beheld ahead a mountain wide.
A clap of thunder o'er my head,
a voice spoke out and this it said.
"For one night only you may stay,
with love I ask begone by day".
In distance spied a city bright,
of crystal brillance,all glowing light.
As I clung on,our pace increased,
then just as sudden, seemed to cease.
The hooded riders,reined in tight,
all radiant with,a sparking light.
Some murmured words,I could not tell,
as with a flash ,the mountain fell.
A golden gate,stood up ahead,
I wondered now if I was dead.
The rider who stood close to me,
just laughed aloud, and said "you'll see".
On we rushed,in through that gate,
I held my breath and clung to faith.
The colours seemed to stun my eye,
such beauty almost made me cry.
All buildings made of crystal stone,
along the streets,sweet roses grown.
My nose filled up,it made me float,
the perfumed scent,a crimson moat.
As people roamed ,in gowns of white,
lit up again,with sparkling light.
I wondered now,if I should pray,
I wasn't sure,that I'd not stay.
Those words again,I did not know,
my chariot now, once more did slow.
In front of me,a palace high,
shone golden light,amid blue sky.
The riders now called out my name,
to my surprise,an Angel came.
He beckoned me to come inside,
I wondered now,if I should hide.
No words I use, describe his face,
the beauty of his loving grace.
'Be not afraid,in loving care,
your visit here,is oft too rare'.
His wings they spread out,oh so wide,
as I then stood, right by his side.
We walked as one,as bells were rung,
and all around,more Angels sung.
I wondered now what I should say,
he smiled at me,'let's not delay'.
Within a garden,filled with love,
flew butterflies,rare birds above.
'We've called you here,to let you know,
your life has yet, some years to go.
We know that you've been feeling sad,
we tell you now, you'll soon be glad.
Each life you lead, has something new,
your soul's own knowledge, has now grew.
Be not ashamed,mistakes you make,
wrong turns at times, that you will take.
Hear not the ones, who run you down,
smile instead of a furrowed frown.
With love once more, you will find hope,
know you now,we'll help you cope.
Do not feel guilt,at tasks undone,
forget the past, look towards the sun.
Learn all you can,in what you do,
be yourself first, and be true to you.
Be kind to others, who may not know,
that love in life,is the seed to grow.
Be strong when life is seeming cruel,
remember child,that life is school.
Respect all life in every form,
in life's a spark,of life that's born.
Find courage within,if you feel weak,
remember it's love and light you seek.
Let go of anger, the pain you've felt,
just feel it now and let it melt.
Let compassion be your constant guide,
let love eternal, spring from each side.
Speak your truth always with a gentle heart,
as words of light, sing from each part.
Do not try hard,to fit right in,
celebrate instead,how unique you've been.
Many others too,may feel alone,
with pain filled hearts, not cold as stone.
We know that you, would like to stay,
but much in life, you've yet to say.
I tell you now,we'll be with you,
with love and light to help you through.
In life's long journey, you will see,
the many wonders,life can be'.
Each part of me,was light as air,
I knew now I had not a care.
My heart now full, seemed fit to burst,
a lack of love,my only thirst.
He walked me back, out to the door,
although I could have stayed some more.
The hooded riders,stood in place,
I climbed on board,set for a race.
The Angel waved,as I did leave,
I saw a symbol on his sleeve.
I cannot tell you was it love,
or if I saw,a pure white dove.
Our speed,it took away my breath,
a myth now broke of lifeless death.
We seemed to hover overhead,
and then so soon,I woke in bed.
MY TIME TO GO by Sinead Tynan

My love,I had not time to say goodbye,
nor any time,to grieve or cry,
I did not know,t'was time to go,
that God had called me home, you know.
One moment here, the next was gone,
I know that you still pray and long,
to turn the clock back,to that day,
to say the words you long to say.
So many ways,I'm with you still,
I know your dreams,that I fulfill,
a light breeze o'er your skin is me,
to let you know, that I am free.
The precious times that we did share,
I know my love, how much you care,
I've seen you cry alone at night,
although you think, you're out of sight.
I've heard you say that life's not fair,
of troubles,well,we'd seen our share.
Just why it happened,love,you know,
t'was just it was,my time to go.
In every raindrop,that you see,
the sunshine too,my love I be,
I know sometimes,you think I'm near,
I wish my love, that you could hear,
the words I whisper,in the night,
to let you know, that I'm alright.
The pain you feel within your heart,
with time my love, you'll heal each part.
But life for you, must now move on,
I'll help my love,to keep you strong,
Although you think, that I am gone,
you'll hear me love,in every song,
with all the words of love you bear,
remember love,how much I care.
I haven't left you all alone,
I'm with you now,in this wee poem,
I'm with you,in your heart,you see,
because my love, your love I be.
One day will come, with much less pain,
such strength of heart, you will then gain,
please smile for me,my love you see,
that God,has only,set me free.
Then someday when your old and grey,
I'll come for you, just like you pray,
the Angels love, will help us be,
as God intended,to be free.

TRAILING by Sinead Tynan

Slowly creeping,through the trees,
icy hush,a snowny breeze.
Full moon shows,a blue tinged sky,
hunger calls,a wolf's lone cry.
Pearl white carpet,soft beneath,
so quietly placing,hairy feet.
Stripped bare branches,shadows dark,
further south,a mate's weak bark.
Slinking low,along the ground,
hunger pains,the only sound.
Sniffing gently,in the air,
careful of the stalking bear.
Blowing puffs of smoky breath,
trailing rabbit,to his death.
SILENCE by Sinead Tynan

Watching,through the night light's glimmer,
Angelwings,brushing o'er my face,
colours,flowing,through the silver shimmer,
fireflies cross the moon, all in a race.
Shadows,dance across my ceiling,
as from a cobweb,spiders crawl,
somewhere there,a bell is pealing,
spinning spiders,down my wall.
Flowing,flutters,in the breeze,
wafting,curtains through my window,
tipping,tapping,from the trees,
listening now,to hear a pin drop.

LITTLE FLOWER by Sinead Tynan

In earthy cavern,deep and dark,
slept a seed,of life's own spark
she waited through,a Winter long,
for the swallow's,waking song.
The sun it warmed, the red dirt bed,
the sleeping seed, raised up her head,
a light Spring shower, quenched her thirst,
white,flowing tendrils,from her burst.
She wound her way,up towards the light,
stretching forth,to sunlight bright.
She grew much stronger, day by day,
and bathed in the rainbow's ray.
The leaves sprang forth,a grassy sheen,
as from her neck,a budding Queen.
So shy,she slowly showed her face,
within the garden,there's no race.
White velvet petals,pink rimmed tips,
a golden center,of wild honey lips.
With dusky light, she went to bed,
dawn's sweet chorus,roused her head.
The insects came to her, each day,
and supped her nectar,after play.
All Summer long, she praised the sky,
and then one day,did fade and die.
Her essence free,to roam once more,
she floated high,through heaven's door.
AUTUMN SIGNS by Sinead Tynan

Today I watched the birds take flight,
they all lined up at morning light,
the Autumn sun, told them to go,
no food for them,in Winter's snow.

Softleaves now falling,from the trees,
such silence,from the buzzing bees,
all colours range from brown to gold,
as funghi grow on rotting mould.

Bare branches hold,the berries ripe,
as hunter's stalk the wary snipe,
small animals have made a nest,
piled high with bounty for sleep's rest.

The rising wind nows holds a chill,
I marvel at the world's old skill,
the changing season's onwards go,
of birth to death, beauty in flow.
