All rights reserved.</copyright><ttl>5</ttl><item><title>SOLSTICE by Antonia Lynsey Williams</title><description>Summer slumbers half the years&lt;br&gt;Only when winter's urge to go&lt;br&gt;Light comes from her sister's call&lt;br&gt;She lies across her mother's plains&lt;br&gt;The solstice's locks that cascade in torrent&lt;br&gt;Into the sea, light for you and I&lt;br&gt;Captivating all from the cat to the cleric&lt;br&gt;Even plants whisper 'Solstice is here'.</description><link>http://www.voicesnet.org/displayonepoem.aspx?poemid=102534</link><pubDate>7/27/2006</pubDate></item><item><title>MY VALENTINE by Antonia Lynsey Williams</title><description>I just wanted to tell you something.&lt;br&gt;You are not my valentine.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I don't love you.&lt;br&gt;You're a fling to me.&lt;br&gt;A fling,&lt;br&gt;until this love party is over.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;You're attracted to me, yes!&lt;br&gt;Obsessed by my clothes and perfect body,&lt;br&gt;envious of my persistance and nature&lt;br&gt;I am not attracted to you.&lt;br&gt;You don't have&lt;br&gt;what I have.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Once this is over, I'm single again.&lt;br&gt;"He's just there", "He's availible", "He's free" for someone else's love.&lt;br&gt;A girl can only have me once, you know.&lt;br&gt;Your impression to me was like a stain.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;If a girl loves me yet leaves me alone,&lt;br&gt;She is the one Valentine.&lt;br&gt;If a girl is sleepy to the obvious&lt;br&gt;awakes to nought but my love,&lt;br&gt;she is the one Valentine.&lt;br&gt;If a girl who is shy yet pleasant&lt;br&gt;talks to me as friend and family,&lt;br&gt;she is the one Valentine.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;You,&lt;br&gt;you just hang around me.&lt;br&gt;For lust, for entertainment, for popularity.&lt;br&gt;But when we're done, get away from me.&lt;br&gt;Become like the hermit, stay where you think&lt;br&gt;you come from.</description><link>http://www.voicesnet.org/displayonepoem.aspx?poemid=102535</link><pubDate>7/27/2006</pubDate></item><item><title>TURNING FOURTEEN by Antonia Lynsey Williams</title><description>I was born fourteen years as of tomorrow.&lt;br&gt;As a small toddler, I drowned in my sorrow.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Then began primary school, which I started so young.&lt;br&gt;I discover a talent, but for now is unsprung.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Two sisters of ten years, of honour and brilliance;&lt;br&gt;Aimed for their highest regardless of grievance.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Six years have then passed, and big school ascends.&lt;br&gt;I get in the best one, but lose all my friends&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;It's three years til now, and dark days are brewing;&lt;br&gt;Homework, exams, my schoolmates keep spewing.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I miss my young days, so pure and outgoing.&lt;br&gt;Now I mingle with adults, whose freedom is stowing.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I will be turning fourteen as of tomorrow.&lt;br&gt;Yet school still approaches, my head's in the pillow.</description><link>http://www.voicesnet.org/displayonepoem.aspx?poemid=102400</link><pubDate>7/22/2006</pubDate></item><item><title>RECIPE OF THE HOLOCAUST by Antonia Lynsey Williams</title><description>Here is my death recipe,&lt;br&gt;made specially for the Holocaust.&lt;br&gt;The horror of Anti-Semitism&lt;br&gt;That struck Jews during the Second War.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;First there is that shock of Fate&lt;br&gt;that plunged deep in their predujiced hearts.&lt;br&gt;Next add in their swelling of fear,&lt;br&gt;as you wonder where they're taken far.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Drag them to concentration camps,&lt;br&gt;then butterflies will start to show&lt;br&gt;Spread around the rumors of others.&lt;br&gt;Where have they gone? We're not to know.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Garnish with unceasing sadness&lt;br&gt;that forever is clouded in your mind.&lt;br&gt;Those beloved friends, and your family.&lt;br&gt;In the end, you will be left behind.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Stand up to the horrors for a few more years.&lt;br&gt;Be prepared for gruesome pains,&lt;br&gt;because just as you're about to breathe your last&lt;br&gt;you'll suddenly see some light again.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Perhaps it's too frightening to think about this.&lt;br&gt;"It's hopeless to try!" you yell at me.&lt;br&gt;Just don't be afraid to cry and mourn.&lt;br&gt;For remembrance is the final part of the recipe.</description><link>http://www.voicesnet.org/displayonepoem.aspx?poemid=102256</link><pubDate>7/16/2006</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
