Hope is a myth And we live in a fairytale Love is a lie We take the lies of our life for granted They are the skeletons of our being There is no such thing as happiness It is just a pretty dream One we created to hide from the world The wretched world we live in Live, I say this as if it had some meaning As if it could be called that It is more like we wallow Wallowing in our own greed, sadness and despair To cherish is not a real thing it is a fantasy We dream to cover our mongrel lives Ones in which we dig ourselves Digging into a deeper grave than existence itself A hole, dark, gloomy, dank Death is an escape An excuse for an easy way out One in which people try to find comfort Wrong is our existence We destroy what is truly beautiful To replace with horror A horror beyond all thoughts of good
