They tell her that she's ugly, fat and not smart, But she knows she is worhty from the depths of her heart. A glimpse into the mirror and for her it begins, "Maybe they'll like me, if only I'm thin." She sprints to the bathroom gently locking the door, Telling herself, "This is the right thing, I'm sure!" She turns on the water so you can't hear the sounds. With two fingers in her mouth she kneels to the ground. "I won't eat tomorrow, or the day after that!" "Never again, until they see I'm not fat!" Three months go by, but the problems persist. And now there are more problems to add to her list. "They still do not like me!" "And neither do I!" "I cannot be helped!" "Why can't I just die?!" These words for days linger in her head. She won't go to school nor get out of bed. Looking so pale she nibbles her thumb. "Why am I like this?!" "I am so dumb!" Becoming more sickly as time passes by, She gets an idea, something else she could try. Again to the bathroom, more slowly this time, She opens the pantry to see what's to find. Pulling out prescription pills, trembling yet firm, "I don't really want to, but maybe now they will learn." "When I'm gone they will miss me, oh yes they will!" "And all I have to do is swallow these pills." She downs the whole bottle within just one gulp. It was a cry from inside screaming out for help. On this paticular day it was her birthday you see, Tons of her friends would be at the surprise party, from me. We all really loved her, why couldn't she tell?. Every day to her was like living in hell. She heard what she wanted, and not what we said. And because she never told anyone, now she is dead. She's right, we do miss her, and always will. But we have always loved her, and that lives on still.
